  My Witness

Vol. 10, No. 2, April, 2005

From the Editor
Sr. Jan Nattermann, S.N.C.

Sister Jan Do you expect Got to be gracious to you? Don't answer too quickly. Seriously and honestly think about it before you answer. The passage from Isaiah 30:18 might help you to see what his desire is in this matter.

"Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore the exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him."

This passage brings great hope. God is just waiting to be gracious (good) to you. But maybe it has to be someone who is expecting, looking for God to be gracious to him or her. As you spend time with the passage from Isaiah 30:18 my prayer for you is from Numbers 6:24-26: "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace."

May he find you eagerly expecting him to be gracious to you!
