At Home

Association of the New Covenant.

One of our dear companions, Bill Lavin, died on September 11, 2006. His life and his death were attested to by the many that knew and loved him. A funeral Mass was celebrated on September 15 at St. Thomas More parish. He is already missed.

The annual Companion Christmas party is planned for December 10, 2006, at the home of Jon and Maureen Nash.

Abroad

Gdynia, Poland

This year's trip to Poland was July 11-August 11, 2006. Srs. Angeline and Jan arrived in Warsaw July 12 and then took a five-hour train ride to Gdynia. Even though it was 11:00 p.m. when they arrived, the pastor of St. John the Baptist parish, Fr. Wojciech Kozwolski and Wieslaw and his wife Marila, met the Sisters at the train station.

Retreat and Training.

July 15-24, 48 people from the Association were present for the Gifts of the Spirit Retreat followed by three Foundational Formation Trainings.

All enjoyed a free day together at the mid-way point of the Training. A bus took everyone to a nearby tourist area and the to Przebrno for grilling kielbasa, swimming in the Baltic Sea and singing.

National ACTS II Borad of Directors Meeting.

Reports were given by the Directors, along with prayer and planning, July 26-28. The meeting took place in Gdynia.

Association of the New Covenant.

July 24 at 4:00 p.m. the Commitment Ceremony was held in the parish church. There were a total of 26 who made commitments at various levels of their formation.

A reception followed from 7:00-11:00 p.m. A delicious dinner was served.
