Why This Web Site
The Vault Box Web site is the result of years of experience in trying to keep usernames, passwords, software registrations,
and security information private and yet readily available. It was developed for staff and administrative personnel for
this very purpose. Keep the data safe and available!
Professional
Automation Services has been in business since 1986. As a company that routinely handles highly sensitive data and
personal information, you can rest assured your data is safe, secure, and secret. For 25 years, PAS has processed millions
of W2's, 1099's and paychecks, for hundreds of companies.
Our Internet servers are state of the art and accessible only by bonded and insured personnel approved by PAS. Your
data is stored behind state of the art firewalls just as if we were processing payroll records for our business clients.
All data is passed using 256-bit encryption (see below) through authenticated security certificates. In addition, each field and
piece of data that you store in The Vault Box is additionally encrypted using our PAS proprietary
encryption algorithm (See demo). The key for this encryption is of your choosing, can be
any length, and is only known to you.
In addition, each and every time you log into your account, you will receive an email indicating your account has been accessed,
should you choose to enable this option. Should unauthorized access occur, you will be able to immediately inform us.
PAS has gone to extreme lengths to ensure your information is private and accessable only by you!
Not even TheVaultBox adiministrators or host personel know your key nor can they break the encryption for your personal items even though
they have access to the code. Your information is protected as long as your user name and password are protected. Should something happen and we would
need to provide you with the information regarding your items, you would need to provide us with your personal login information in order for us to
recover your information.
A note about encryption:
The data is viewable by anyone who has access to it, but it cannot be understood. It is not our intent to explain to you how we implement encryption. Suffice to say that we use several layers of highly established encryption algorithms including AES adopted from a larger collection originally published as Rijndael. In addition, as mentioned above, PAS uses our own proprietary encryption algorithms complimented by AES.
