To know the Father as Jesus did is to have a relationship of FAITH. A relationship that says, "I am so much You and You I, that I know what I ask will be granted." Jesus had such a unity with the Father while He walked this earth that it resulted in His prayer always being heard. Imagine such unity which gave way to total confidence and trust in the Father.

What about our relationship with the Father in Jesus? How much confidence do we place in the Father? Enough to say we are confident that He will provide for our every need in Jesus? If not, then we must come to know the Father better through Jesus. How? Daily prayer and the reading of Scripture will nourish a trusting, faith filled relationship. In this kind of union, then, things come into proper perspective; so much so that "I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" (Philippians 3:8).
